Sherry Blanchard Stuart Bio
Working in traditional style, Sherry Blanchard Stuart paints with a richness
of color that illuminates the intensity of sunlight upon her varied subject matter.
Living and working in the Sonoran Desert of North Scottsdale, Arizona, her work
is particularly inspired by a love for the American West and it's unique history.
Sherry's work is both traditional and representational;
she paints figurative as well as landscape and still life with an emphasis on truth
and beauty in nature.
She is an award-winning artist and recipient of a BFA
degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Sherry is listed in Who's
Who in American Art, and has been
featured in The American Artist, Cowboys and Indians, and Southwest Art magazines, and the book Art of the American West. She is
a member of Western Artists of America, a Signature member of Oil Painters of America,
American Academy of Women Artists and American Plains Artists, Arizona Artists Guild,
Knickerbocker Artists, and is a founding member of The Creative Women of Pinnacle
Peak.
Sherry's work is in the permanent collection of the Tucson Museum of Art
and the Desert Caballeros Museum. Her work is currently exhibited at the El
Presidio Gallery in Tucson, Arizona and Ruidoso, New Mexico, the Gold Nugget Art
Gallery, Wickenburg, Arizona, Philinda Gallery, Edwards, Colorado, Open Range Gallery
in Scottsdale, Arizona and Nichol's Taos Fine Art Gallery in Taos, New Mexico also
exhibits Sherry’s art. Her work has been displayed in many juried and solo exhibits
nationwide, and can be found in private collections worldwide.
